Doucuer Boulangerie
is designed as a compact yet powerful artisanal patisserie and café, redefining a 7 m² space through vertical emphasis, spatial depth strategies, and a cohesive material language.
To transform the limitations of the small scale into advantages, design decisions were made to enhance both vertical and horizontal spatial perception within the space.
The custom-designed ceiling works in dialogue with the mirror positioned along the entrance axis, enhancing the vertical perception and reinforcing the spatial depth of the interior. Its reflection amplifies visual continuity, creating a broader and more open spatial impression. The decorative wall finish, sealed with a semi-reflective protective topcoat, introduces a controlled sheen to the surfaces, while metal details—continued through skirting profiles, panel joints, and fixed furniture transitions—establish a cohesive material language throughout the space. The front cladding of the service counter was specially designed through geometric exploration and deliberate material selection; the interplay of materials on the surface supports the overall continuity of the interior. Marble and complementary finishes contribute a restrained yet strong expression aligned with the general composition, while the façade maintains the same design language, creating a striking presence despite the compact scale.
